Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-09

This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your photo and personal information when you use The Big Sib Book. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@bigsibbook.com.

What we collect

How we use it

Your child's (and, if provided, a parent's) photo is sent to our image-generation provider to illustrate the story pages so the characters look like your family. The finished pages are assembled into a PDF and emailed to you.

Who we share data with

We only share what each of these services needs to do its job:

We do not sell your data, and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics on this site.

How long we keep it

Your uploaded photo(s) and order details are stored only long enough to build and deliver your book, then automatically deleted from our storage. The finished PDF itself remains available at your delivery link so you can re-download it.

Children's data

This site is intended for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children — it is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child. By uploading your child's photo, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and consent to the use described above.

Where your data is stored

Order data and photos are stored on our own privately-operated server infrastructure, not a third-party cloud storage service.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your data or tell you what we have on file at any time by emailing support@bigsibbook.com. Since we already auto-delete your photo and order details after delivery, in most cases there is nothing left to remove by the time you'd ask.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of bigsibbook.com after a change means you accept the update.
